It is an excellent gift or good as personal Ganesha altar when traveling, as Ganesha is the protector of travelers too.

Ngakan Putu Bastiawan, known as ‘Baster’, is a young and especially talented Keliki artist. Since the age of 10 he has studied the ancient art of Bali painting in the traditional style of his village, Keliki and is helping this traditional art form thrive. It is amazing that he accomplishes such refined detail with a pen made from palm and Chinese ink stick that he grinds with water in a coconut shell.

Ganesha is the Hindu god who assists us in many ways. He is the Lord of Thresholds, the guardian of entrances, to physical spaces as well as thresholds of change in our lives and he is the protector of travelers.

Ganesha is also the remover of obstacles, making problems disappear, freeing us to create abundant prosperity and power that benefits everyone.

Ganesha’s mouse Mooshuka represents the small, persistent, pesky problems in our lives that Ganesha helps us with. And Mooshuka symbolizes Ganesha’s ability, like his little mouse, to get into even the most secret places to rid us of subtle obstacles that block our fulfillment.

Ganesha’s round form and contented face radiate his own personal fulfillment.
